主任委员:顾怀宇

顾怀宇,中西医融合发展专业委员会,现任中山大学医学院教授,硕士、博士研究生导师。于1999年获佳木斯医学院人体解剖学硕士学位;于2002年获中山大学人体解剖学博士学位;于2002-2009年在美国加州大学欧文分校医学院人体解剖学与神经生物学从事博士后研究,曾任资深项目科学家;于2009年作为中山大学百人计划引进人才回国工作,在中山大学中山医学院任教。

顾怀宇教授自幼浸润在中医药文化中,曾得到过胡海牙等多名著名老中医的传授和指导。对传统医学和互补医学有独到的见解,并应用这一思想治疗各种疑难杂症,均取得显效。著有《万病一治论》,该著作被业内誉为医养之经典。

顾怀宇教授攻读医学博士期间,师从我国著名神经科学家姚志彬教授,并在苏国辉院士、吴武田教授的悉心指导下,在2002年首次发现了成人脑内Nestin免疫阳性细胞的分布,进一步证实了成人脑内存在可再生神经环路的学说。目前,人脑内干细胞的存在已被业内学者广泛证实。该发现以《Distribution of nestin immunoreactivity in the normal adult human forebrain.》为题在著名神经科学杂志《Brain Research》上发表,截至目前该文章他引频次已高达100余次;博士后期间,受到美国HHMI教授Diane K.O’Dowd的悉心指导。留学美国期间,原创性研发果蝇中枢神经系统单细胞膜片钳记录系统,成为人类历史上探测到活体全脑单细胞电活动的第一人,此成果在《Journal of Neuroscience》上发表,题为《Cholinergic synaptic transmission in adult Drosophila Kenyon cells in situ.》,并于2004年在《The Scientists》上接受发表题为《Probing the Mind of Drosophila》的专题报道,在国内外神经科学界引起了广泛关注。该发现通过神经电生理记录,建立起神经遗传学与神经行为学之间的桥梁。2012-2016年,顾怀宇教授团队利用计算机虚拟筛选技术对靶向脑内特定受体的中草药单体、活性短肽进行了大量分子对接,经过数亿次的计算、筛选及实验验证,在《Neurotherapeutics》发表题为《EGAR, A Food Protein-Derived Tetrapeptide, Reduces Seizure Activity in Pentylenetetrazole-Induced Epilepsy Models Through α-Ami-no-3-Hydroxy-5-Methyl-4-Isoxazole Propionate Receptors》的文章;在探索阿尔兹海默症治疗新思路的过程中,发现传统中药水飞蓟宾具有良好的抗老年痴呆的功效,后在国际权威杂志《Neurobiology of Aging》杂志上发表论文《Silibinin inhibits acetylcholines-terase activity and amyloid β peptide aggregation: a dual-target drug for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease》,为老年痴呆的中医药治疗开创了新方法、新思路。同期,顾怀宇教授在《瞭望东方》周刊中进行了一系列关于大健康的讨论,著有《中医药现代化的曙光》、《解决塑化剂风波的曝光》、《转基因食品的辩证法》和《改善记忆的新武器》等多篇社论性科普文章,向十八大献礼,为当前大健康理论的产生与发展奠定了充分的理论研究基础。2014125日,《南方日报》以《光生物安全的国际标准将被改写》为题,特别报道了顾教授团队在以光子治疗老年痴呆过程中做出的杰出贡献。2016年至2017年期间,顾怀宇教授团队与浙江工商大学饶平凡教授团队合作,从啮齿类动物和灵长类动物等不同层次上探究超氧自由基的体内分布规律与中医经典经络系统的关系,取得重大发现。近年来,顾怀宇教授团队发表SCI论文40余篇,承担科研项目多项,包括国家自然科学基金面上项目与重点项目、科技部“863计划项目及省部级项目等,科研经费愈千万。今年,顾怀宇教授荣获托马斯·苏德霍夫人类大脑基金会特别贡献奖,此奖项由2013年诺贝尔生理学或医学奖获得者Thomas C. Sdhof授予,全球仅有十名优秀神经科学家受此殊荣。
